Challenges

The customer is a US based enterprise application software company specialized in Enterprise Asset Management software that delivers SAP solutions for customers in manufacturing industry worldwide.

Constantly striving for high standard and out-of-box solutions in their applications, the customer needed a well-managed and supported environment from development, quality assurance, pre-production and production. The challenges they faced were:

• Minimum in-house SAP Basis and infrastructure resources to manage the landscape
• Long provisioning time for additional SAP systems
• High-cost on the existing cloud hosting provider without SAP support service
• Slow Performance on the existing cloud hosting provider

They were in need of a service provider not just hosting their SAP landscape in cloud but also providing SAP basis management that meet their SLAs and ROT/RPO requirements.

Solutions

The customer started with one development server to test the water of WFT Cloud services. After several months’ observation, the customer was very satisfied with the service level and the SAP expertise WFT Cloud has provided. Since then, the scope of the landscape has expanded to several critical systems. Services include the following

• Create landscapes including Development, QA, Sandbox, Pre-Prod and Production systems in WFT Cloud and Solution Manager
• Implement backup and restore solution
• End-to-end support for any SAP Basis activities and infrastructure requirements
• Provide monitoring support with helpdesk service 24X7X365
• Provide SAP maintenance patch and version upgrades, OS and database upgrades, SAP system copy, etc.
• Maintain SLA agreements and RTO/RPO requirements
• Configure end-to-end alert management system
